Founder, OUR Story Institute
Epiphany Kali is a Black transgender woman, community leader, entertainer, and advocate committed to expanding opportunity, leadership, and representation for LGBTQIA+ communities, particularly Black transgender women and transgender women of color.
Through years of community building, public leadership, advocacy, and cultural visibility, Epiphany has worked to create spaces where people can strengthen their voice, build meaningful connections, and develop the confidence to pursue their goals and lead within their communities.
As the founder of OUR Story Institute, she is guiding the development of programs, partnerships, and leadership pathways that help individuals build skills, expand opportunities, and shape their own futures. Her vision is rooted in a simple belief: before someone can lead in their community, they must first become the leader of their own life.
Advisory Board
OUR Story Institute is building an advisory board made up of community leaders, advocates, educators, professionals, and changemakers who share a commitment to empowering Black transgender women and transgender women of color.
The advisory board will help guide the organization's growth by providing insight, expertise, and community perspective as we develop programs, partnerships, and future initiatives.
Advisory members may help inform areas such as:
• Community engagement and relationship building
• Leadership development and educational programming
• Strategic partnerships and collaboration
• Civic engagement and community leadership
• Organizational growth and sustainability
We believe the strongest organizations are built in partnership with the communities they serve. Our advisory board helps ensure that OUR Story Institute remains community-informed, mission-driven, and grounded in lived experience.
